When the Qur’an descended, Prophet Muhammad (SAW) did pay great attention to remain loyal to revelation and the correct way of recitation. It is natural that the previous reciters have heard Qur’an’s recitation directly from Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and their own recitations were in careful and meticulous imitation of him. Since then, correct recitation of Qur’an has been superior to a nice recitation of it. Years after this, when these reciters taught, generation after generation, the Qur’an to others, it was correct recitation that was more important in comparison to its nice recitation.<?XML:NAMESPACE PREFIX = O /><OTongue> </OTongue>Basic Change<OTongue> </OTongue>When vocal devices came into being and numerous versions of Qur’an were accessible to the Muslims, the situation was made better for Qur’anic activities. It was then that people from each tribe and ethnicity looked at Qur’anic recitation and concepts culturally and locally; they used to read it in their own accent. Certainly Arabs due to their understanding of the meaning of Qur’an were more active and effective in this regard; especially when they encountered with the culture of non –Arab countries, learned their musical singing methods and used them in their recitation of Qur’an.<OTongue> </OTongue>In this situation, Egypt is more outstanding among other Islamic countries, so much so that they say assuredly that the Islamic world is indebted to Egyptian Reciters for its current beauty in recitation.<OTongue> </OTongue>Now it is better to know about melody and how to improve our tone of recitation and which melody to use in our recitation.<OTongue> </OTongue>

The important factors in the tone of recitation

1. Environment: The environment that circumscribes a person is an important factor in his vocal tone; for example, the tones of speaking in some families are lower and in some are higher, and the children in those families are generally speaking in those tones.<OTongue> </OTongue>2. Geographical: Location and mild climate have positive effects in training vocal tone. According to the conducted researches in the Mediterranean coastal countries, like Egypt, Greece, Italy, Syria and Turkey, the average talented vocal tones are higher than in other places.<OTongue> </OTongue>3. Inheritance<OTongue> </OTongue>4. Race: For example, the inhabitants of North Africa, especially in Egypt, have a more bass voice in comparison to the Indian or the east Asian residents.<OTongue> </OTongue>

5.The ability to hear the different voices is different among people. It is very important to have sharp ear in music.
