You look at me and call me oppressed,
Simply because of the way I'm dressed.

You know me not for what's inside,
You judge the clothing I wear with pride.

My body's not for your eyes to hold,
You must speak to my mind, not my feminine mould.

I'm an individual, I'm no mans slave,
It's Allah's pleasure that I only crave.

I have a voice so I will be heard,
For in my heart I carry His word.

" O ye women, wrap close your cloak,
so you won't be bothered by ignorant folk ".

Man doesn't tell me to dress this way,
It's a law from God that I obey.

Oppressed is something I'm truly NOT,
For liberation is what I've got.

It was given to me many years ago,
With the right to prosper, the right to grow

I can climb mountains or cross the seas,
Expand my mind in all degrees.

For God Himself gave us LIB-ER-TY,
When He sent Islam, To You and Me!

Posted April 16, 2009 by strzaidi
RECOMMENDED Washing hands 2 times.

2.
RECOMMENDED Gargling water in mouth 3 times
3.
RECOMMENDED Water into nostrils 3 times

4.
OBLIGATORY
Splash water onto face and wipe in a downwards motion, covering the area from the hairline to the bottom of the chin.

5.

OBLIGATORY Drop water onto your right arm with your left hand wipe the water over your right arm, ensuring that the water reaches all areas between the elbow and the fingertips always wipe in a downwards motion moving away from the elbow .

6.

OBLIGATORY Drop water onto your left arm (now turn off the tap)
with your right hand wipe the water over your left arm, ensuring that the water reaches all areas between the elbow and the fingertips always wipe in a downwards motion moving away from the elbow.

This is why, in the instruction above, it is important to turn off the tap before wiping the left arm. Otherwise, if your turn off the tap after wiping the left arm you run the risk off picking up fresh water.

II PART !!!

From this point onwards you cannot use any fresh water from the tap. Masah (wiping) must be performed using existing water that has been involved in your wudhu.

7.

OBLIGATORY
With your right hand, masah (wipe) the hair from the middle of the top of the head down to the hairline

8.

OBLIGATORY With your right hand wipe your right foot in one motion between the toes and the ankle (either direction is acceptable). Make sure that your hand moves and your foot remains still. Again, you should not be using and fresh tap water, just the moisture that remains on your hand from previous wudhu actions.

OBLIGATORY
With your left hand wipe your left foot as described for the right foot.

As mentioned previously wudhu is a spiritual process, and as such there are recommended duas to be recited at the various stages of wudhu. Please see below:

At the beginning of wudhu:In the name of Allah, and for Allah; All praise is for Allah who made water Tahir and not Najis.

At the time of washing the hands:

O Allah! Place me amongst those who ask for forgiveness and those who are Tahir.

At the time of rinsing the mouth:

O Allah! Enable me to answer correctly on the day of meeting You and open my tongue for Your praise.

At the time of rinsing the nose:

O Allah! Do not keep me away from the fragrance of Jannat, and let me be one of those who will smell its fragrance, its refreshment and its perfume.

At the time washing the face:

O Allah! Brighten my face on the day when the faces will turn dark, and do not darken my face on the day when the faces are bright.

At the time of washing the right arm:

O Allah! Place my book of deeds in my right hand and a permanent stay in paradise on my left, and make my reckoning an easy one.

At the time of washing the left arm:

O Allah! Do not place my book of deeds in my left hand nor on my back and do not make it hang around my neck. And I seek refuge with You from the blazing fire.

At the time of Masah of the head:

O Allah! Cover me with Your mercy, Your blessings and Your pardon.

At the time of Masah of the feet:

O Allah! Keep me firm on the bridge (to paradise) on the day when the feet will slip, and help me in my efforts to do things which will please You, O Glorious and Mighty

Reward of tears for Imam Hussein (as)
Posted February 11, 2009 by eliya

Hazrat Imam Mohammad al-Baqir (as) narrates from his father Imam Ali ibn Hussein Zain-ul-Abedeen (as) who said:

“If a believer weeps over the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (as) and tears flow from his eyes and fall on his cheeks, then Allah will make him reside in the palaces of Paradise where he shall abide for a lengthy period of time. And if tears flow from a believer’s eye (in sorrow) and falls upon his cheeks for the oppression and tyranny which has been inflicted upon us by our enemies, then Allah will present him a seat in Paradise. And the believer who undergoes sufferings on our behalf and tears flow on his cheeks, then Allah will remove sorrow from his face, and on the day of judgment will keep him away from His wrath and safeguard him against the fire (of hell)."

An-Nahl (Verse16:66) : Milk
Posted October 2, 2008 by rizwan_musavi
In the Holy Quran, when Allah recounts His blessings to man, he mentions the cow.

Verily in cattle there is a lesson for you. We give you to drink of what is inside their bodies, coming from between the intestines and the blood, a milk pure and pleasant for those who drink it. (an-Nahl, 16:66)

The food that is eaten by the cow is digested in its intestines. From here the blood carries the nourishment to the rest of the body, including the mammary glands where the milk is produced. Modern science tells us that the processes responsible for the production of milk begin when the contents of the intestine are brought together with the blood. And indeed, this is how the Holy Quran has explained it too.

Imam Hasan (A.S.), the Magnanimous

Imam Hasan (A.S.),
the Magnanimous

Congratulations on the Auspicious Birth Anniversary of
Imam Al-Hasan Ibn Ali al-Mujtaba(S.A)
Name: Al-Hasan

Title: Al-Mujtaba
Agnomen: Abu Muhammad
Father’s Name: Amir al-Mu’minin (Pbuh)
Mother’s Name: Fatimah (Holy Daughter of the Holy Prophet (S.A.))
Birth: In Medina on Tuesday, 15th Ramadan 3 A.H.
Martyrdom: Poisoned and martyred at the age of 46, in Medina on Thursday, 28th Safar 50 A.H.;

Holy body was buried in Jannatu ‘I-Baqi, in Medina.

Imam Hasan (Pbuh) was the eldest son of Imam Ali (Pbuh) and Hadrat Fatimah (S.A). When the Holy Prophet received the happy news of the birth of his grandson, he came to the house of his beloved daughter, took the newly born child in his arms, recited Adhan and Iqamah in his right and left ears respectively, and in compliance with Allah’s command named him al-Hasan.

Imam Hasan (A.S.), the Magnanimous

I shall first narrate a tradition about Imam Hasan (a.s.). I hope this tradition becomes a beacon of guidance for all of us.

Once a person came to the presence of Imam Hasan (a.s.) and made a fervent appeal for help. The Imam (a.s.) came out of his house with the person. When he found Imam Husayn (a.s.) on the way, he asked the person, “Why didn’t you approach this brother of mine for help?” The man said, “O son of the Prophet! I had noticed that Imam Husayn (a.s.) was in the mosque doing his I’tekaaf (retirement to the mosque for continued prayer). At that moment Imam Hasan (a.s.) said the following words that should be a source of guidance for us: “If you had approached Imam Husayn (a.s.) during his I’tekaaf for his help, and he had fulfilled your need, then the reward for him would have been more than continuous prayer (I’tekaaf) for one month!”

If someone provides relief to a Muslim, his reward will be more than that for spending a month in the mosque praying day and night! I, therefore, appeal to all the believing men and womenthat, to the extent possible, they should provide help and assistance to Muslims. A wife who helps her husband and a husband who takes care of the needs of his wife too shall earn this reward. This will be the theme of our talk today.
